I am currently working on a list with the hottest (house) tracks from 2009. But before completing this, I have to declare “Versager ohne Zukunft” an album by Austrian Hip Hop duo Kamp & Whizz Vienna as my personal album of the year.

Although it’s one of the very very few longplayers I bought this year, this album is outstanding. And due to the fact that Austrian hip hop is totally underrated almost everywhere (except german speaking countries) it’s simply my duty to show my international readers this masterpiece and wonderful example of Austrian quality Hip Hop.

All german readers who are a little bit into german hip hop will know this “instant classic” and former “Juice” album of the month. If not: hmm…

“Versager ohne Zukunft” contains 19 tracks, without any interludes and conflates perfect rap skills (Kamp) with massive old-fashioned and sample-based instrumentals by Whizz Vienna.
